Possibly the most iconic of Schlumberger’s designs. The ‘Bird on a Rock’ was made in1956 with the Tiffany Yellow Diamond in mind. The classic design now accommodates an array of equally stunning gemstones such as purple amethyst. 

The cushion-shaped amethyst with a cockatoo perched atop, with brilliant-cut diamond-set plumes and circular-cut pink sapphire eye, mounted in 18 karat yellow gold, signed Tiffany & Co., Schlumberger Ltd, numbered, case stamped Tiffany & Co. 

White metal tested as platinum, stamped Au750 for 18k yellow gold. Signed Tiffany & Co, Schlumberger Ltd, numbered. Amethyst is medium deep purple of strong saturation, generally eye-clean. Diamonds weighing a total of approximately 2.99ct as stated in the mount is bright and lively. Pink sapphire is in good condition.
